Larry is an experienced litigator in marital and family law, with over 16 years of experience. He practiced for 13 years on Florida’s East Coast, before moving to Fort Myers in 2004 and opening a solo practice concentrating on family law. In the fall of 2006 he brought his skills to Thompson Family Law.
In addition to being a busy practitioner, Larry works and contributes his time to other aspects of his profession. He was an adjunct professor of paralegal studies for several years at Atlantic Coast Institute, and is a guest lecturer at Southwest Florida College. He is a guest columnist for the “Legal Matters” section in Southwest Florida Parent & Child magazine. In the summer of 2006 he became the founding Director of the Family Law Section of the Lee County Bar Association.
Larry is married to Nadine, also a lawyer, and has a young son and daughter — Jacob and Brianna. He is a family man, a computer aficionado and a voracious reader. He is involved in several civic and community organizations, and is on the Board of Directors for the Association of Family Law Professionals. He is a graduate of the Fall 2007 class of Leadership Lee County. For several years he served the community as a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem and a Special Public Defender in the Dependency Division.
Born in Suffern, New York, Larry graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science in 1988. He graduated with his Juris Doctor from Stetson University Law School in 1991, and sat for and passed the Florida Bar later the same year. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the Lee County Bar Association and the Federal Bar for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
